Corrections & Updates Policy
We are committed to accuracy and transparency.
Our Commitment
Sitelerikapat News is committed to factual accuracy. When we make errors, we correct them promptly, transparently, and without attempting to obscure the original mistake.
How to Report an Error
If you believe an article contains a factual error, please contact us via our Contact page and include:
- The URL or title of the article in question
- The specific claim you believe is incorrect
- The correct information and, where possible, a source supporting the correction
We aim to respond to correction requests within two business days.
How We Handle Corrections
Minor factual errors
For minor errors (e.g., a date, a number, a name spelling), we will correct the text in place and append a correction notice to the article in the following format:
"Correction [Date]: This article originally stated [incorrect information]. It has been updated to reflect [correct information]."
Significant errors
For more significant errors that materially affect the meaning of an article, we will post a prominent correction notice at the top of the article, correct the text, and where appropriate, publish a separate correction notice.
Context and updates
For articles where the underlying situation has changed (rather than where an error was made), we will add an "Update" notice indicating what has changed and when, while preserving the original article for context.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not silently edit articles to remove errors without notice
- We do not delete articles to hide past mistakes
- We do not alter our reporting in response to commercial pressure or threats
Disputed Content
If an individual or organization disputes our reporting but cannot demonstrate a factual error, we may append a note to the article reflecting the disputed nature of the claim, at our editorial discretion.
Contact
All correction requests should be submitted through our Contact page. Please use the subject "Correction Request" for prompt routing.
